"Those flashes in your eyes? They're meteorites." "I'm talking to Ava but she's not here." "Karen Finke got a new phone." "If we were in Reno at the Marriott, I wonder how many tables in the sun would have umbrellas." These are just a few of Sharon's musings from this morning.
She had a new medication added last night that is helping with the pain but is making her somewhat delusional. She keeps imagining things and having conversations within her dreams. She also thinks it is 4:30 all day long. She started my day off with a false scare, telling me that they had given her a second drain in her chest because fluid was building up. After checking with the nurse I found out neither of those things were true. She does have chest pain, but that is from the one and only drain, which is working and helping.
The doctors say she is making small progress and her kidneys are starting to work and she's requiring less of the extra heated oxygen. Perhaps the biggest news of the day is that they moved her into a chair for a bit. They had to pump up the meds beforehand but the surgeon said it was important for her to get out of bed. Still in the ICU, but progress is being made...along with a good bit of nonsense.
❤️❤️🙏❤️🙏Love you Sharon! Prayers and blessings to you and your family ❤️
