The whiteboard in Sharon’s hospital room made it clear as to what today’s goals were: get out of bed, walk in the halls, pass gas. I am pleased to report that all three were accomplished before 10AM…by me. Sharon, on the other hand, took most of the day, but still had success. In fact, she went above and beyond the call of duty, and added a #2 that wasn’t even on the board...if you know what I mean. They say that these are important steps that signify the stomach and bowels are working once again. This must occur before she is allowed to have anything more than ice chips to eat or drink. So we are calling today a succes.
If you think it rude of me to reveal such personal things, please refer to yesterday’s post when I suggested Sharon take over posting duties but received the stink eye in return. She had her chance.
I look forward to reading these posts to learn about Sharon's recovery and strength... But I'm also getting so much joy from Steve's commentary! Progress every day! Thinking of you all and sending love.
So funny! Glad her functions are returning and yes it’s extremely important! I am continuing prayers daily for her recovery.
Fantastic news!!! I’m sure her new goal it to get up to speed walking so she can chase you around the room for all the fart jokes!
This is the content I signed up for. Thank you Steve. With much love and many prayers,
Cris
